⚠️ SOLANA: VALIDATORS NEED TO UPGRADE AGAVE BEFORE EPOCH 1079
Anza developer warned Solana validator operators that they need to upgrade to Agave 4.4.1 before epoch 1079 begins, expected on November 6 at around 13:30 UTC. Nodes running outdated versions risk ending up on an incompatible network branch and no longer participating in consensus.
The fix concerns accounting for the size of ProgramData account data. This is a software requirement for validators, not confirmation that Solana has stopped or that users have lost funds. Sources: Anza, The Defiant, and CryptoTicker.
