⚠️ ETHEREUM DELAYS GLAMSTERDAM FORK OVER 8 INVARIANTS THAT COULD CAUSE VULNERABILITIES

🔍 Ethereum Foundation calls for contract self-audits
Developer Marius van der Wijden has urged contract developers and auditors to check whether their projects rely on 8 invariants that the Glamsterdam upgrade will break, after security firm ChainSecurity found that some projects depend on them.

⛓️ EIP-8037 and EIP-8038 change gas calculations; Hoodi fork delayed
EIP-8037 and EIP-8038 adjust how gas is calculated for certain operations and state, potentially introducing vulnerabilities after the upgrade in projects that rely on the 8 invariants above. As a result, the core developers’ meeting decided to delay the hard fork and hold off on deploying it to the Hoodi testnet until the issues are resolved. No specific date has been set.

🌤️ The fork delay shows that the Ethereum Foundation is prioritizing contract safety over upgrade timelines, and projects need to review their code before Glamsterdam is rolled out again.
