Is altcoin season really here? Can ADA capitalize on this rotation of funds?
After every major Bitcoin rally, the market starts anticipating altcoin season.
But I believe ADA investors shouldn't focus only on BTC's price. They should also watch to see whether funds are actually flowing into altcoins.
I'll be watching three signals:
1. Is BTC dominance starting to decline?
If BTC dominance continues to fall, it may mean that market funds are starting to look for opportunities beyond Bitcoin—but that doesn't mean all altcoins will rise.
2. Is ADA/BTC reversing?
This is one of the indicators I think is most worth watching.
If ADA/BTC starts to find support after a prolonged decline, forms a higher low, or even breaks above its previous swing high, that could signal a return of ADA's relative strength.
3. Are funds actually flowing into the Cardano ecosystem?
Price can't be driven by market sentiment alone.
DeFi capital, on-chain activity, stablecoin liquidity, and real-world demand for use are the fundamentals worth tracking over the long term.
My view:
I won't assume ADA is bound to catch up just because BTC is rising.
What would really be worth looking forward to is ADA starting to show its own relative strength while BTC consolidates.
That could be the beginning of a rotation of funds.
Do you think ADA could outperform BTC in the next altcoin season?
