Futures first: look at the structure, then talk direction

Before deciding whether to take this trade, the funding rate is more honest than the candlesticks.

Futures only care about three sets of numbers. Everything else is noise.

1. BTC 76162, 24h 75208-80513, change -5.23%.
2. BTC open interest notional: 7.27 billion dollars, 24h -5.72%
3. Overall account long/short ratio: 3.19

My take: The funding rate is 0.0047%, close to zero, and the long/short ratio is 3.19. Leverage hasn't picked a side. If it hasn't picked a side, don't use high leverage to pick one for it.

Execution ranges (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Momentum zone: only consider chasing after it gets above 76,771; without a break above, it's a false breakout
- Buy the pullback: 75,248-75,705; don't buy if it loses that level
- No-trade zone: if the 1h candle closes below 74,791, skip this trade

My position: I don't buy the first dip. Until the drop is accompanied by a decline in open interest, buying on the way down is like catching a falling knife.

Useful takeaway: Cheap L2 fees don't mean it's as safe as mainnet. Exit windows and sequencers are both risks.
Thought: Fear and Greed >75: things are lively, but don't add the first layer of leverage.
