AppLovin reported its third-quarter results after Wednesday’s close, with revenue up roughly 50% year over year and next-quarter guidance well above market expectations.
At Thursday’s open, the stock surged about 30%, recouping much of its steady decline over the previous six-plus months.

Its gaming advertising business is accelerating again, and the company also said its next-generation ad recommendation model has only been partially rolled out.
The Nasdaq plunged that same day, and chip stocks were hit hard, yet AppLovin managed to rally on its own.

My take is that investors are betting on “accelerating ad monetization,” with the earnings beat and raised guidance reinforcing each other.
In the short term, watch whether it can hold around 356, near Thursday’s close; if not, that would suggest the good news was priced in too quickly.
For the medium term, keep an eye on whether gaming ad growth continues to accelerate after next quarter’s guidance is delivered.
