This time around, crypto investors may be doing okay, but AI tech stock investors are the ones getting hit hard.

Many people in crypto had already closed their positions or left the scene altogether.

Take UNI, for example. It’s fallen recently, but compared with its low of around $2.30 in June and July, it’s still doing very well—it remains above $7.

By contrast, many investors in the AI supply chain are heavily invested at high cost bases. They chased the rally all the way up and kept averaging down on the way down.

The memory sector in particular. On June 29, Xiaohuihui publicly warned that the memory sector was nearing a cyclical peak, but almost nobody believed it at the time.

Looking back now, many memory stocks have fallen more than 50% from their highs, with some down as much as 60%–70%.

The most painful part is that crypto investors got out early, while those who bought tech stocks ended up trapped as long-term value investors.

Being bullish on AI in the long run doesn’t mean it’s worth buying at any price.
