Politics is short-term noise; fundamentals are the long-term anchor.

Galaxy Digital founder Mike Novogratz recently weighed in: the so-called “blue wave” has indeed put pressure on the company’s share price, but he stressed that political sentiment should not be conflated with long-term fundamentals. His core thesis has three points—

Finance is moving on-chain, a structural migration that transcends government cycles;
AI demand is booming, and the repricing of underlying resources such as electricity and computing power is only just beginning;
GLXY’s current share price is severely disconnected from the company’s actual value, so he announced that he would start buying more shares in his own company, effective immediately.

Meanwhile, Galaxy said it would continue working with the new administration, focusing on reliable power, water conservation, and community development.

This line of reasoning is worth considering: elections and regulation can create volatility, but “finance moving on-chain + AI infrastructure” is a generational shift that won’t be reversed by a single change of political party. The founder putting his own money on the line to buy more shares is, in itself, the clearest vote of confidence.

In the short term, watch sentiment; in the long term, watch the trend. When the market panics, that is often when the strength of one’s conviction is put to the test.
