How do you check a transfer using a block explorer?
The confirmation count roughly indicates how many blocks have been added to the chain after the transaction was included in a block. The higher the confirmation count, the less likely the transaction is to be reversed.
On Ethereum, failed transactions are also included in blocks. Their status is shown as failed, and the Gas already spent is generally not refunded.
When managing a position, the most important thing to remember is this: if someone says they’ve made a transfer, ask them to send you the transaction hash and verify it yourself using a block explorer.
