How are ETF shares created and redeemed?
ETF management fees are charged annually and deducted daily from the fund’s assets, reflected in its NAV. Investors don’t have to pay them separately.
Each trading day, an ETF calculates its NAV per share based on the assets it holds. If its trading price is higher than its NAV, it is said to be trading at a premium; if lower, at a discount.
When managing your positions, the most important thing to keep in mind is to check a fund’s fees, trading volume, and typical premium or discount range before trading it. Don’t judge it by its name alone.
