Bafang | Crypto Market Highlights 11.06
The post-election rebound lasted just one day—it’s all been wiped out. $BTC plunged from above 80,000 to around 75,600, while $ETH fell to around 2,226. The Fear & Greed Index had just reached 50 yesterday, but dropped back to 28 today, returning to “Fear.”
📉 U.S. stocks drag markets down
The Nasdaq fell about 5.5%, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index dropped about 12%. CoinGlass: Around $1.1 billion in futures positions were liquidated over the past 24 hours, affecting about 210,000 traders, mostly those holding long positions.
💸 ETFs turn negative again
U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw net outflows of about $325.2 million on Nov. 5. BlackRock’s IBIT saw outflows of about $201.2 million, and Fidelity’s FBTC about $199.9 million. They turned positive for just one day before institutions pulled out again the next day.
🏛 White House reviewing SEC proposal
Bloomberg: The White House OMB is reviewing an SEC proposal to revise broker-dealer financial responsibility, recordkeeping, and reporting rules, clarifying how crypto assets fit into the existing framework. The CFTC also submitted a consumer protection proposal for prediction markets that same week. It’s still under review and hasn’t been finalized.
Bafang’s take: The post-election rally was all sentiment; it’s the AI valuation sell-off in U.S. stocks that’s doing the real damage. One day of positive fund flows doesn’t signal a trend, so I’m staying lightly positioned and watching from the sidelines.
Do you think this will first drop to 73,000, or can it hold around 75,000?
