Yesterday ETH plunged in a straight line from 2,424 to 2,238, down 7.7%—it was the hardest-hit coin across the market. The day before, it had surged to 2,450, and I really thought it would lead the way up this time. Turns out I was getting ahead of myself again. It’s now just a little over 2% away from the October 30 low of 2,174.
The ETH/BTC ratio makes it even clearer: it’s at 0.0294 now, compared with 0.0334 on September 11. When prices rise, ETH lags behind; when they fall, it rushes to the front. At this rate, the ratio looks set to test 0.0283 again.
Honestly, I’m a little reluctant to let it go. I had an order in at 2,250 yesterday, but missed it by a few dollars as the price sliced right through. I don’t really dare make a move at this level—I can’t tell if that was the final flush or just the beginning. BTC is still hovering around 75,800. If it breaks down again, ETH will most likely test 2,174.
