BTC and ETH closed slightly higher, but volume hasn’t caught up yet
The latest hourly candle turned green, but I’m not ready to call it a reversal just yet.
$BTC The latest 1-hour candle closed at 76,195.62 USDT, still below the 20-hour moving average of 77,647.66 and the 50-hour moving average of 78,621.25. The RSI is around 33.2, and the volume of this candle was only 34% of the average volume of the previous 20 candles. Price moved up a little, but whether buying pressure can last will need to be confirmed by subsequent closes.
$ETH also looks weak. The hourly candle closed at 2,243.18 USDT, while the 20-hour moving average is at 2,309.46 and the 50-hour moving average is at 2,344.61. The RSI is around 30.2, and volume was only 24% of the average volume of the previous 20 candles. Being near 30 doesn’t mean the decline is over.
On the 4-hour timeframe, both assets also closed below their 20- and 50-period moving averages. The slight short-term rebound hasn’t changed that positioning.
Next, I’ll be watching for two things: whether BTC can reclaim around 77,648 and ETH around 2,309, and whether volume improves along with the recovery. If both conditions are met, the short-term rebound will be more convincing.
Conversely, around 75,208 for BTC and 2,206 for ETH are the range lows of the previous 20 hourly candles and can serve as reference points to watch; they shouldn’t yet be treated as confirmed support. If prices fall below them later, this rebound will need to be reassessed.
Data: Binance spot market; snapshot of 1-hour candles closed at 11:00 Beijing time on November 6, 2026. 4-hour data through 08:00.
