Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour backed insider-trading bans for Congress and administration officials as Democrats weigh restrictions after winning both chambers this week. Kalshi carried about $1.3 billion in midterm wagers by Monday, according to BeInCrypto, citing a Washington Post analysis. The Senate barred members and staff in April; the STOP Corrupt Bets Act would ban event contracts on elections, sports, military actions and most government actions. Kalshi also probed October bets placed before Donald Trump's press secretary pick became public and closed a $1 billion round at a $40 billion valuation in late October.
