Pizi Bro’s Crypto + AI Morning Brief · 2026-11-06 (Friday)
BTC is currently at 76,325, down 5.22% in 24 hours; ETH has fallen below 2,300, and SOL below 90.
① This sell-off is cutting positions, not fundamentals
The Nasdaq 100 fell 6.4% last night, its biggest one-day drop since March 2020, wiping out about $2.3 trillion in market value; the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 11.48%. Wall Street blamed hedge fund liquidations, which hit their highest level since 2009. Crypto followed suit: liquidations across the market topped $1 billion in 24 hours, including $810 million in long positions.
→ A crash without any news has the smell of liquidations. Positions are being cut, but it takes time for the market to clear; the first leg down doesn’t mean the flush is over. If BTC falls below $75,000, another $550 million in long positions could be liquidated. Don’t rush to buy the dip.
② On the day of the crash, Hyperliquid priority fees hit an all-time high
Yesterday, Hyperliquid priority fees hit an all-time high of $521,000, also setting a record at 12.7% of total daily revenue. Priority fees are rush fees paid to get orders filled first when the network is congested.
→ The more volatile the market, the more the matching layer earns. Spot prices fall for holders, but someone is always collecting rent from volatility itself.
③ A client miscalculated the state root; LayerZero proactively paused its bridge
Blockaid disclosed that a state-root calculation error in the Reth execution client and its derivative, op-reth, affected multiple OP Stack chains. LayerZero has paused the related cross-chain services.
→ A miscalculated state root means the ledger no longer balances. Pausing the bridge this time is damage control; the worst-case scenario would be for the bridge to keep publishing data. Node operators should switch to running multiple client implementations in parallel.
④ OpenAI releases GPT-6 Cyber, rates its risk as “Critical”
GPT-6 Cyber specializes in discovering and exploiting security vulnerabilities. It is available to a small group of vetted customers, and its risk rating has risen from “High” for the previous generation to “Critical.”
→ Yesterday, it was using AI to uncover 948 privilege-escalation vulnerabilities; today, this capability is starting to ship to customers. Attack tools are being sold by subscription, while defensive budgets have yet to catch up.
⑤ Tencent Hy4 hits capacity on launch day; queues persist despite 10x expansion
The official version of Hy4 was integrated with WorkBuddy on 11-04, and large numbers of users hit their usage limits on day one. The team urgently expanded capacity 10x, but high-end computing resources remain constrained, so queues may still form during peak hours.
→ Demand-side validation is faster than any earnings report: capacity was maxed out within 24 hours of launch. The bottleneck isn’t users; there are only so many high-end GPUs to go around.
In short: positions were cut last night; that same day, the matching layer set a revenue record, and an attack model that rates itself “Critical” began shipping.
