U.S. storage stocks’ Thursday sell-off intensified: SanDisk (SNDK) plunged 22.26% in a single day to close at $806.43, making it the S&P 500’s worst-performing constituent of the day; Micron (MU) fell 17.46% to close at $656.39, and SK hynix dropped 13.4%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index tumbled 12%, its biggest one-day drop since March 2020, while the Nasdaq fell 5.52%, its worst single-day performance since April 2025. The trigger was more than just cooling AI enthusiasm after the midterm elections: Micron’s DRAM market share fell from 26% to 21% in the third quarter, and chip shortages have already weighed on the results of companies such as Apple. Ironically, industry DRAM revenue surged 369% year over year in the third quarter, but all the gains from higher prices were wiped out by valuation cuts. In after-hours trading, SanDisk and Micron each rebounded around 4%–5%. Is this a true bottom or just a dead-cat bounce? Tonight’s opening will tell. The line in the sand: SanDisk’s Thursday low of $804. If it breaks, the next stop is $700. #美股 #存储 #Semiconductors
