BTC fell more than 5% in a single day, while ETH dropped over 7%. This isn’t a minor pullback—it’s a significant sell-off.
📊 Market snapshot (2026-11-06 01:00 UTC)
• BTC $76,276 | -5.30% | 24h volume: 26,192 BTC
• ETH $2,244 | -7.32% | 24h volume: 366,955 ETH
• BNB $694 | -3.39% | 24h volume: 182,690 BNB
My take: ETH underperformed BTC by nearly 2 percentage points, and rising volume suggests this wasn’t just passive selling in step with the market—there was active distribution. BTC’s volume has been relatively restrained, and it’s currently hovering near 76K. This level has acted as short-term support several times over the past two months, but if the daily candle closes below 75K, the chart structure would open up more downside. In that case, the previous lows in the 72K–73K range would be the real line of defense.
BNB has held up relatively well (-3.4%), which to some extent reflects a more stable holder base. But that’s no reason to assume BNB will move independently—in an unstable BTC-led market, it’s only a matter of time before it follows the market down.
Plan:
Bullish scenario—If BTC stabilizes in the 75K–76K range, and ETH finds a bottom and rebounds on declining volume, consider a small position, targeting the 79K–80K resistance zone.
Bearish / wait-and-see scenario—If BTC breaks below 75K and holds there, don’t chase a bounce; wait until the 72K–73K range to reassess. ETH can remain neutral-to-cautious as long as it stays above 2,150. If it breaks below that level, avoid adding to any positions.
This is a time to scale back and wait for the market structure to develop, not to double down on a rebound bet. After every sharp drop, the temptation of a V-shaped reversal is hard to resist—but most of the time, it’s just an entry point to getting trapped even deeper.
