Binance futures liquidations over the past hour totaled $2.29 million: $644,000 in longs (28.1%) and $1.65 million in shorts.
After liquidations, I usually look at three things:
① Who got flushed: shorts accounted for more, suggesting the price surge forced a wave of short covering;
② The largest was $ZEC ($614,000); its subsequent volatility is usually the highest;
③ Whether open interest also declined: a drop means leverage was genuinely flushed out; if it didn’t fall, it means positions are building up again.
You can trade without leverage, but if you do use leverage, make sure to set a stop-loss.
