Storage valuation massacre: ASPs are too expensive → OEMs/consumers cut volumes; Democrats taking office adds a data-center/power-regulation premium on top, and $MU $SNDK got hit harder than the broader semiconductor sector.

Just checked Binance perpetuals (around 08:10 Beijing time):
MUUSDT is now around 674, 24h high 791 → low 650, down about 14.6%; volume around 2.06 billion U, OI around 240 million U; long accounts around 86%, top accounts about 90% long, funding rate around +0.057%. U.S. shares closed at 656.39 on 11/5 (previous close 795, down about 17.5%), with an intraday low of 650; sold off from around 885 on 10/30 over the past few days.
SNDKUSDT is now around 827, 24h high 1029 → low 794, down about 19.4%; volume around 6.00 billion U, OI around 380 million U; long accounts around 90%, top accounts about 92% long, funding rate around +0.014%. U.S. shares closed at 806.43 (previous close 1037, down about 22.3%), with an intraday low around 804. The 8-for-1 split effective 11/20 can be mentioned in passing.

11/5 was an accelerated shakeout, not a small pre-market dip. With dip-buying longs still this crowded, those stuck in positions know how it feels.

12–48h outlook (inference, not guaranteed): MU holds 650, look for 700–760; break 650 → 620–600. SNDK holds 804, look for 860–920; break 804 → 780–750. Invalidation: MU closes back above 800 / SNDK above 1000 with OI falling, or the 11/9–10 BIS Affiliates / rare-earth suspension window clearly softens. Don’t watch Trump’s off-the-cuff remarks for a reversal; harder catalysts are the policy window and contract/spot prices holding up (TrendForce still sees 4Q DRAM +10–15%, NAND +15–20%). NVDA’s 11/17 earnings are just beta; MU’s guidance in mid-to-late December is the storage alpha. Further downside if Kioxia/consumer volume cuts are confirmed, 11/10 controls land hard, or another major player cuts 2027 CapEx.

Manage your own position size; don’t go all in.
