Proposer-builder separation explained in a few sentences:
Validators can’t access the specific transactions in a block before signing its header. This prevents them from seeing the contents and stealing the builder’s MEV opportunities.
PBS also introduces new risks: block building is becoming increasingly concentrated in the hands of a few builders, and relays have become another point of trust.
If you run your own validator, find out who operates the relays you connect to and what filtering rules they use—don’t focus only on the bids.
