A somewhat counterintuitive on-chain data point: $XRP prices are falling, yet the number of whale wallets is growing.

According to Santiment (data from November 3): The number of wallets holding over 1 million XRP reached 2,147, the highest level in 2026. There were 28 new wallets in ten days, including 18 in just the past three days. Over the same period, the price fell 2.3%, bringing its year-to-date decline to about 30%.

A word of caution:
• These figures count addresses, not people. Existing wallets adding to their holdings and internal exchange transfers could both push the number up.
• The 2,147 wallets represent just 0.03% of the ledger’s roughly 8.3 million funded accounts.
• Santiment itself says this does not prove that new buying is taking place.

Santiment’s reference levels: The medium-term structure would be considered relatively stable if XRP holds $1.20–$1.25 and the number of wallets remains above 2,140. A stronger confirmation would require reclaiming $1.30 and $1.40 while the number of whale wallets continues to rise. Today, XRP is trading near $1.25.
