Polygon proposes a hard fork to recover 70.49 million POL stolen in the Polymarket and Binance hacking incidents.

According to CryptoPotato, the proposal targets only native POL; USDT frozen by Binance is outside its scope. In other words, the assets covered by the fork are limited to native tokens on-chain, while stablecoins already under the exchange’s control will be handled through a separate process.

· The two types of assets involved in the same incident are being handled separately: POL at the protocol layer, and USDT remaining frozen on the exchange.
· The report did not disclose the proposal’s voting progress or implementation timeline.

If only native POL is recovered, who do you think should decide what happens to the frozen USDT?
