BITCOIN FALLS TO US$76K AND LIQUIDATIONS EXCEED US$1 BILLION

$BTC fell about 5.5% over the past 24 hours, giving back its previous gains and returning to the US$76K range. $ETH and $SOL also posted losses of nearly 7%.

The pressure came from heavy selling in US technology and artificial intelligence stocks. The Nasdaq fell more than 5% at one point during the trading session, increasing risk aversion.

The decline was intensified by leverage: more than US$1 billion in positions were liquidated, mainly long bets.
