According to Bloomberg, the investigations will cover the financial and business ties between the Trump family and the cryptocurrency sector, particularly the World Liberty Financial project, as well as other investments that generated more than $1.4 billion for the family over the year—surpassing returns from its traditional real estate and resort businesses.
The decline also extended to Trump-linked assets: shares of Nasdaq-listed Trump Media & Technology Group fell by around 11%, hitting a record low near $5, compared with their all-time peak of $101.
