IS #TRUMP MEDIA PREPARING FOR A MASSIVE SALE OF #bitcoin ?
TRANSFERS $434M TO CRYPTO.COM
A wallet linked to Trump Media & Technology Group #DJT (the parent company of Truth Social) has made multimillion-dollar transfers to the Crypto.com exchange, reigniting concerns and questions in the crypto market about whether the company is preparing to reduce its digital asset treasury.
Transaction details: According to on-chain data provided by Arkham, 4,259 #BTC (valued at approximately $434 million) were transferred in two nearly identical batches:
A first batch of 2,140.03 BTC.
A second batch of 2,119.31 BTC.
Both transactions originated from addresses labeled "2028 Convertible Notes Collateral" and went to the wallet identified by the initials 34jvU..., belonging to Crypto.com.
Trump Media's financial context:
In its second-quarter report, the company stated that 4,260.73 BTC served as collateral pledged for its convertible notes.
Although Arkham's labels match this figure, on-chain data does not specify the exact reason for the transfer.
The company faces a cash repurchase clause at the end of this month. According to its November 2 report, holders of convertible bonds can demand repayment starting November 30, which would entail a financial commitment of up to $1 billion.
Trump Media has warned that if refinancing or alternative sources of liquidity are insufficient, it may be forced to sell Bitcoin or other digital assets to cover the payments.
Impact on its total reserves:
The transferred amount represents nearly 30% of the approximately 14,139 BTC the company reported holding in its July filing.
Is this simply a strategic transfer to a custodian, or is the company preparing for a massive Bitcoin sale before its repurchase obligations come due?
