$ETH participated in a token launch (minting) project called AGI on the Ethereum mainnet. It’s been hugely popular. The good news is that people who got in are currently up 2x: 10u has become 20u, and the people who got this coin have doubled their money. It cost $10 and is now worth $20 (a 2x return).
The bad news is that Bitcoin’s plunge has pushed Ethereum gas fees up to 30u, and now it takes 40u of gas!! But here’s the downside: Bitcoin’s sharp drop has driven a massive influx of funds and transactions onto the Ethereum chain as people rush to get AGI. The chain is congested, and gas (the miner’s transaction fee) has surged. The gas fee was $30 before, but now it’s risen to $40 per transaction. Quite surprising.
