Binance Replenishes 98% of Assets After Security Incident

Binance has reached a major recovery milestone after its October 29, 2026 security incident, reporting that approximately 98% of the affected assets have now been replenished.

According to Binance's November 4 update:

- 98% replenished: Binance has replaced approximately 98% of the impacted assets.
- Remaining 2%: The exchange is still purchasing less-liquid tokens through market and OTC channels.
- Company-funded recovery: Binance says it will absorb the losses using its own funds, not customer balances.
- Proof of Reserves: Coverage has expanded from 10 to 44 tokens.
- Independent verification: The full zero-knowledge proof was expected to take 50–60 hours to generate.

Why does this matter?

This is an important step toward restoring confidence in Binance. However, the remaining assets, withdrawal restoration and independent reserve verification still deserve attention.

The real test is not just replenishing funds, but ensuring stronger security and transparency going forward.

What do you think? Can Binance fully rebuild user confidence after this incident?
