🔥 Nasdaq selloff spillover! BTC flash crash shakes out the market as institutions and whales reposition overnight

️⃣ Market: After U.S. stocks opened, the Nasdaq plunged (down over 5% intraday). $BTC plunged from around 80,800 to around 75,900 (about -5.5% in 24h, with a low around 75,570); $ETH fell to around 2,250 (about -7.5%). The Kobeissi Letter / Bitcoin Magazine: Nearly $370–400 million in leveraged positions were liquidated in about 60 minutes, with longs hit hardest—the weak hands were shaken out, clearing away excess leverage in the process.

️⃣ On-chain: At 23:14 Taipei time, about 1,417 BTC (around $109 million) moved into Coinbase Institutional; at 23:28, another approximately 1,290 BTC (around $98.6 million) moved out to an unknown wallet (Whale Alert; verified against mempool). Institutional-scale inflows and outflows are happening in parallel, with the outflow looking more like a cold-wallet transfer, reducing the coins available for sale on the exchange.

️⃣ Ammunition: Around 22:03–22:08, the USDC Treasury minted 250 million USDC in each of two consecutive transactions (verified against Solana RPC)—stablecoin liquidity is still being replenished.

️⃣ KOLs: Michael Saylor: “Feeling ₿ullish.”; Rekt Capital says a break below around 76,800 could indicate seller exhaustion; Michaël van de Poppe thinks the Nasdaq may technically sweep lower to take liquidity before turning upward; Daan: “That is a brutal candle. Rejecting the $80K level…”
