AI Bubble Finally Burst? Or Is There Something Bigger Behind Today's Massive Market Dump? 🚨
Guys, some of the most popular AI and semiconductor stocks have now suffered losses of over 30% from their recent highs. That's not a small correction anymore. Is the AI bubble finally starting to burst, or is this just a major reset?
Asia was mixed. South Korea's KOSPI plunged around 5.3%, Japan's Nikkei dropped 1.8%, and Taiwan also saw heavy losses. Meanwhile, Hong Kong gained around 3.7% and India's Sensex rose roughly 2.5%.
Europe remained relatively stable, while US AI and semiconductor stocks faced heavy pressure, dragging the Nasdaq lower.
What's Behind The Selloff?
The biggest concern is AI spending. Investors are questioning whether companies investing hundreds of billions in AI and data centres can generate enough profit to justify their valuations.
Political uncertainty is adding pressure too. Recent Democratic wins in Texas and Georgia raised concerns about possible delays or restrictions on data-centre projects. Qualcomm's weak smartphone chip outlook added further pressure.
And yes, I think this correction could be part of the AI bubble bursting process. When investors start questioning valuations, future profits and massive spending, even the strongest AI stocks can face serious selling.
What About Crypto?
I think crypto's decline is partly normal profit-taking. BTC already rallied from around $76K to $80K yesterday, so some traders are naturally securing profits.
But when US tech stocks struggle, risk appetite weakens. That can trigger more selling in $BTC and altcoins, especially with leveraged positions involved.
👉 My Take: AI tech stocks could face more pressure if this repricing continues. $BTC may recover better, but let's not assume crypto is safe from another wave of selling.
And guys, this is why I look beyond red candles. Anyone can create panic during a market dump, but understanding WHY it's happening matters more than random predictions. Follow @MeowAlert for real market context, honest analysis and less noise.
