The parent company of Kraken $AAVE entered through secondary-market purchases, without disclosing the size of the stake.

The announcement came from Payward, which said its affiliated fund, Digital Asset Special Investments I, LP, bought the stake in partnership with clients, led by Payward Asset Management.

It doesn’t stop at a single purchase; the possibility of additional purchases later was also mentioned. But the size and terms remain unconfirmed.

The company links the move to growing institutional demand for exposure to top-tier DeFi assets and on-chain credit infrastructure.

If you’re following institutional moves in DeFi, this may indicate that $AAVE is among the assets large portfolios are considering. But it doesn’t guarantee a new purchase or any specific price movement.

The real value here lies in the future disclosure of the stake’s size, not just the headline.
