Someone asked: How long does a transaction have to wait before it can no longer be reversed?
My answer: To overturn a finalized Ethereum block, an attacker would have to lose at least one-third of their staked ETH to slashing. Probabilistic finality is like a stack of paper that keeps getting taller: the more paper piled on top, the harder it is to pull out the sheet at the bottom. Deterministic finality is like a signed contract: once it’s signed, you can’t take it back.
