The Moscow Exchange plans to start trading cryptocurrencies on December 1, 2026, sales director Boris Blokhin announced. The list includes $BTC , $ETH and USDT, as these are the assets that meet the Bank of Russia’s requirements for non-qualified investors.

Terms: trading from 6:50 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. Moscow time, access through brokers, and custody in digital depositories. Non-qualified investors will have to pass a test, and purchases are capped at 300,000 rubles per year through a single intermediary. Qualified investors have no such limit.

The cryptocurrency law came into force on September 1; the exchange does not need a separate license.
