During my lunch break, I saw that $CLANKER 15-minute futures open interest had risen 6.55%, with the value of open positions at about $7.51 million; the price was up 6.65% over the same period.
Open interest moved, while my position is still 0—I’m just here watching from the sidelines.
Seriously, an increase in open interest means new positions are entering the market; a decrease means positions are exiting, either through voluntary closing or liquidation.
Unusual readings often point to bigger swings. That’s when you should be trimming your position, not making a big bet.

Just my personal observation, not investment advice.
