Dear Binance community members,
As promised, Binance will cover the cost of the funds stolen in the recent security incident using its own funds, without passing these costs on to users. We have already reserved more than 100% of the funds needed to cover these losses from Binance's own resources. And now we're ready to share further progress. So far, we have recovered approximately 98% of the affected amount and continue to acquire the remaining tokens through market and over-the-counter channels. Purchasing the remaining 2% will take longer because these tokens are less liquid. We will continue to share updates.
We have also taken a new snapshot of our Proof of Reserves (PoR) as of 04.11.2026 00:00 (UTC). It now covers 44 tokens, up from 10 in the previous snapshot, and is available on our PoR website.
This snapshot contains updated information on assets whose availability has been fully confirmed, reflecting our unwavering commitment to transparency. Generating a complete zero-knowledge proof will take approximately 50–60 hours due to the significant computational workload. Once the proof has been generated, users holding any tokens covered by the snapshot will be able to independently verify that their balances are backed at a ratio of at least 1:1.
We continue to acquire the remaining assets, gradually resume withdrawals, and strengthen our safeguards. We will share updates as work progresses.
