[Trading View] LINK moves above $11.50; wait for confirmation before acting
This is a trading analysis. The conclusion upfront: wait on LINK and reassess once it holds above $11.50.
Today’s signal: ApeChain announced it is switching to Chainlink CCIP for cross-chain messaging. LINK rose more than 3% in 24 hours, briefly climbed above $11.50, and traded at around $11.49, with 24-hour volume of approximately $24.8 million (sources: Coinotag and fetch_movers data).
There are three reasons to be optimistic. First, this rally was driven by real news: CCIP has gained a use case with ApeChain, providing fundamental support rather than fueling a rally without cause. Second, CCIP is Chainlink’s core cross-chain messaging product, and ApeChain’s switch amounts to an endorsement of CCIP. Third, the price has moved above the $11.50 psychological level, and short-term momentum is pointing upward.
But there are solid reasons to wait and see: the gain is only a little over 3%, a modest move, and funds are still testing the waters rather than rushing to accumulate. Overall market sentiment remains neutral, the Fear & Greed Index is at 50, and Bitcoin’s market dominance has risen to 60.1%, with funds still concentrating in Bitcoin. The staying power of altcoins remains questionable. The biggest risk with news-driven rallies is that they last only a day, and chasing prices can leave you buying at the top.
The invalidation conditions are clear: if LINK falls back below $11.00, the short-term bullish thesis is invalidated, and the stance shifts from wait-and-see to avoid. Conversely, if it can hold above the $11.50 level and trading volume continues to rise, then consider whether to follow. Size your position according to your risk tolerance, scale in, set a stop-loss, and don’t chase prices.
What do you think of this move in LINK? Would holding above $11.50 count as a valid breakout? Share your thoughts in the comments.
