DarkHorse auto-claim went live on October 25. After running it for the first 5 cycles, here are the numbers.
Before changing the script, 1,050 horseshoes were forfeited over 28 cycles (about 5.6%). After the change, 3,380 were collected over 5 cycles, with only 10 forfeited (about 0.3%).
The change: claim once after the cycle is halfway through, then check every minute during the final 3 blocks and claim once 5 have accumulated. The round with the most forfeitures had 4 blocks produced in a row during the final 10 minutes of the cycle.
If claiming manually, claim once in the morning and once in the evening, then make one more claim before the cycle ends. That keeps forfeitures to a minimum.
