FIS beat on revenue and EPS, but slashed guidance and its CFO stepped down; shares plunged about 23.7% to ≈29.76—I’m not catching this falling knife

What I saw:
Q3 adjusted EPS came in at 1.61 (+6.6% YoY, vs. Street at about 1.60), and GAAP revenue of about $3.5 billion also beat expectations. But full-year adjusted EPS guidance was cut from 6.15–6.24 to 5.82–5.89, and revenue guidance was lowered too. CFO Kehoe stepped down effective immediately. Shares closed at 29.76 (−23.67%), hit a new 52-week low of 29.15, and remain about 17.8% below the 20-day moving average.

My take:
The quarter delivered, but the outlook and leadership both fell apart—a beat can’t offset another guidance cut and a CFO vacancy. Nearly a quarter of the market cap vanished in a day.

Watching, not chasing: I’ll reconsider if shares reclaim the pre-selloff close of ≈39 and hold above the 20-day moving average at ≈36.2. If they break below today’s low of ≈29.15, I’ll take it as a sign the guidance-driven selloff isn’t over.

Do you think this is an oversold bounce after a one-off washout, or will fintech deleveraging drive another leg down?
