ZetaChain has launched an on-chain vote proposing to permanently halt block production on its Layer 1 network on December 9 and migrate ZETA tokens to Solana at a 1:1 ratio as an SPL token. $SOL

The proposal goes beyond migrating the network; it also plans to launch ZetaLabs, a privacy-focused AI application for financial markets, where ZETA will be used to pay for AI services, unlock features, and vote on the product.

But the decision hasn’t been finalized yet. Voting ends on November 7, and any move toward a shutdown or migration depends on the governance outcome. The proposal also suggests burning around 55 million ZETA allocated for validator rewards, in installments throughout 2027.

If the vote passes, the way ZETA holders interact with the network could change, including where they hold their tokens and how they use them in AI applications. If it’s rejected, things will stay as they are, with block production continuing.

Keep an eye on November 7; the vote’s outcome will determine what happens next.

Do you support migrating ZETA to Solana, or would you rather keep it on its own network? 👇
