11 million crypto traders just made a government blink. For the 4th time.

The government just pushed the 22% tax on yearly crypto gains above 2.5M won (about $1,870) from January 2027 to 2029. Parliament still has to sign off, but both main parties back it.

This tax has been "coming soon" for 6 years:
- Passed in 2020, set for 2022
- Pushed to 2023
- Then 2025
- Then 2027
- Now 2029

Officially, it's about data. The US only starts sharing crypto tax data in 2029, so until then Korea can't see what its people trade on US platforms.
