Solana-based lending protocol Loopscale said it paused operations after facing sustained attacks over the past week, with its API receiving more than 30,000 malicious requests per day. According to Foresight News, the attacks targeted the SOL and USDC Genesis vaults, and the shortfalls in affected vaults have been fully replenished, leaving user deposits unaffected; the amount involved was not disclosed.
Loopscale said it plans to restore normal operations after determining the full scope of the attacks and completing additional security measures. The team plans to reopen the protocol interface in the short term and restore repayment functions as soon as possible to reduce the risk of unexpected liquidations. Loopscale is working with federal law enforcement agencies and security professionals.
