Good evening, everyone. This market is seriously being manipulated by the whales, shaking out both bulls and bears.
$BTC surged to 81,000 this morning, then got dumped straight back to 79,000 in the afternoon. I thought it was going to break down to 78,000, but then short covering sent it right back above 80,000. Now it's hovering around 80,000, up 2% in 24 hours. This is a classic bull-and-bear shakeout: anyone chasing longs gets dumped on, and anyone chasing shorts gets squeezed. They’re shaking you out both ways, no mercy.
$ETH is still following BTC and tagging along, hovering around 2,350. It can’t rally, but it doesn’t fall much either—just a hanger-on. The MEME sector was sharply divided today. The gainers were all tiny meme coins on new chains, while older names like PEPE and DOGE barely moved. Money has all gone to the new Elysium chain to speculate on new coins; nobody’s pumping the old memes.
For the real deal on futures: 80,000 is the dividing line between bulls and bears right now, with resistance at 81,000 and support at 79,000. Don’t chase trades here. Short if it bounces to 80,800, with a stop-loss at 81,500; take profit if it drops to 79,500. There’s no clear trend for either side at this level—it’s just range-bound. Take your profits and get out; don’t stubbornly hold on.
That dump this afternoon almost made me think we’d drop back to 75,000, but then short covering sent it straight back up. This market really makes no sense. Institutions are just shaking out retail traders both ways. Chase a move and you’re done; trading the range is much safer.
Did anyone get liquidated in that dump this afternoon? Which side made money, bulls or bears? Let’s chat in the comments.
