Whales on $FLUID have already taken the short side, yet the price has climbed all the way from 2.10 to 2.77. I don’t think this short can hold.

Let’s lay out the picture. Longs still account for around 58%–60% of contract accounts, so retail traders are leaning bullish. Whales’ long positions dropped steadily from 49.5% at 14:00 to just 46.9% by 18:00, putting them net short. People and money are once again on opposite sides.

Open interest isn’t just a low-volume flash in the pan: notional open interest was about 2.94 million U at 7:00 this morning, rose to just over 4.10 million U by noon, and had reached 4.31 million U by 18:00—nearly a 50% increase in half a day. 24-hour volume has topped 53 million U, today’s high is 2.777, and the current price is hovering around 2.71. The token is still up 24% on the day.

The market was tested intraday, too. During the pullback from 14:00 to 15:00, the price dipped as low as 2.525, with over 2.4 million U in one-hour volume, but it didn’t break down. By 17:00, the price had climbed back above 2.67. The funding rate peaked at 0.08% during the day, then fell back to 0.005% at 16:00. The market has cooled off a little, but positions haven’t unwound.

My stance is clear: I’m still bullish. 2.525 was the afternoon pullback low, so that’s the level to defend. I’ll exit if a 4-hour candle closes below it. Above, I’m watching the 2.777 high first—if the price holds above it, all those whale shorts will be fuel for the rally.
