$ZRO Observation: LayerZero's Zero chain processed 10,000 matches per second, while ZRO fell 2.3% on the day

LayerZero announced the results of its joint test with 21X on November 4. 21X's on-chain order book ran for a month on a private, permissioned version of Zero, matching tokenized U.S. stocks at 10,000 trades per second—up to 45 times faster than the L2 EVM benchmark.

Matching and settlement were completed in the same transaction, with no off-chain matching. 21X holds a license under the EU DLT Pilot Regime and is regulated by Germany's BaFin.

ZRO is currently at $1.808, down 2.3% over 24 hours, with a range of $1.758 to $1.947 and spot trading volume of about $3.56 million.

I'll treat this news only as something to watch: the test ran on a private deployment, the data came from the project itself, and 21X has not announced that its official trading venue will move to Zero.

What could actually drive demand is institutions putting live trading on Zero. Until then, ZRO's price is more likely to follow the broader market.
