⚡ UPDATE: $6.3 BILLION Binance Hack

How did it happen? It all started with a FAKE job interview.

According to CoinDesk, an engineer downloaded a coding assignment containing malware onto his work computer after attackers posed as recruiters.

What happened next:

- Attackers used an internal AI tool to reach two wallet engineers' computers
- Stolen credentials let them run a malicious script on October 29
- They exploited Ethereum's EIP-7702 feature to gain control over a hot wallet
- Containment took about 4 hours

Binance Update:
Binance says $2.85 BILLION has been frozen and 98% of affected tokens have been replenished with company funds. Users will not bear the losses.

The FBI attributed the attack to North Korea.

This is a big reminder for all of us: Never download unknown files, even if it looks like a job test.

Stay safe. Stay alert.

What do you think? Is crypto getting safer or are hackers getting smarter?
