Let’s talk about ICOs, IEOs, and IDOs.
An IDO (Initial DEX Offering) is when a token is first offered on a decentralized exchange or launchpad, allowing users to participate directly with their wallets.
One easily overlooked point: during the ICO boom around 2017, many projects raised substantial funds with nothing more than a white paper, and many later failed to deliver on their promises.
Before taking part in any offering, check who the tokens are allocated to, the vesting rules, and the fundraising amount—don’t rely on promotional claims alone.
$ETH ’s early development was funded by a public crowdfunding campaign in 2014.
