Platforms generally set the number of confirmations required for each network before funds are credited. The funds are credited to your account only after that requirement is met; until then, they are usually marked as processing.
When receiving a large transfer, don't assume it's already arrived just because you see zero confirmations. Wait for enough confirmations before considering it safe.
