Perpetuals market watch: two reminders and one reference
Before price speaks, keep leverage quiet.
Perpetuals only care about three sets of numbers. Everything else is noise.
1. BTC 80444, 24h range 76600–81196, change +4.95%.
2. BTC open interest notional: $7.71 billion, 24h +1.38%
3. Overall account long/short ratio: 1.38
My take: The funding rate is near zero at 0.0077%, and the long/short ratio is 1.38. Leverage hasn’t picked a side. If it hasn’t picked a side, don’t use high leverage to pick one for it.
Execution zones (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Momentum zone: consider chasing only after holding above 81,088; without a hold, it’s a fake breakout
- Buy the pullback: 79,479–79,961; don’t buy if support fails
- No-trade zone: if the 1h candle closes below 78,996, skip this trade
My position: I only buy pullbacks, not breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a core position; any add-on must wait for the pullback zone.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing figures are left blank.
Would you place an order in the pullback zone, or wait for the candle to close?

Useful tip: When the mark price and index price diverge, liquidations hit the thinner side first.
Inspiration: The 10-year yield is ticking up: valuation narratives take a back seat; for spot, only keep the pullback zone.
