$UAI 1 The hourly trading volume was about $9.9 million, six times the previous average; over the same period, the price rose 46.88%.
Let’s unpack what this figure means.
Every trade has both a buyer and a seller, so higher volume alone doesn’t mean there are more buyers or that money is flowing in—it just means trading activity has picked up.
After a steep decline, if volume increases but the price stops making new lows, some people may interpret it as a sign that buyers are stepping in. But that still needs to be confirmed by subsequent price action.
With leveraged trading, first work out whether you can withstand the worst-case outcome, then consider what the signals are telling you.
