Price broke out, but leverage failed to follow: $BTC ’s sharp rebound this round looks more like spot buying combined with short covering than a collective rush into longs in the derivatives market.

As of 09:06, BTC was around 80,555, up 4.88% over 24 hours, while open interest fell 2.65%; the 4-hour RSI was around 73.9. The full 4-hour candle closed at 80,467, above the EMA20/50. The facts point to a strengthening structure, but the short-term market is entering an overheated zone. The market’s inference is that liquidation pressure has eased, but without confirmation from rising open interest, there is less room for error when chasing the rally.

$ETH was around 2,420, up 7.13%, with open interest nearly unchanged and funding rates still negative—a clearer sign of short covering. $BNB was around 718, with open interest down 5.40%, likewise showing no leveraged chase. There was no formal entry plan yesterday, so no entry was made.

If BTC holds 80,450, 81,190 is in sight; a drop back below 79,590 would cool things down. If ETH holds 2,383, its strength remains intact; a break below 2,325 would weaken the recovery.
