Let me say something that might offend people: Most AI agents on the market today are just large language models with a wrapper and a few APIs tacked on, yet they’re bold enough to call themselves agents. Being able to answer questions isn’t intelligence, and being able to chat certainly doesn’t mean it can get things done. There’s only one standard for a true agent: when no one is watching, can it take a complex task from start to finish—making its own decisions, correcting its own mistakes, and completing the whole process on its own? If it can’t do that, then no matter how grandiose the claims, it’s just an advanced chatbot. Don’t be fooled by marketing buzzwords. The test is simple: give it a task, walk away, and see whether what it delivers is a result or just another pile of polished words. #AIAgents
