🔐 HOLDERS OF $XRP ⋙ DID YOU 👁️SEE👁️ THE INTERVIEW ON 📺CNBC ABOUT HONG KONG’S HUGE ADVANCE IN TOKENIZATION❓

On Nov 3, an HKMA official detailed Hong Kong’s ambition on CNBC to become a major digital asset hub: digital bonds, tokenized money market funds, tokenized deposits, and regulated stablecoins.

The day before, the HKMA announced that Project Ensemble had advanced to 24/7 interbank settlement using tokenized central bank money, involving 12 banks and 20 participants.

⚠️ XRP was not mentioned in the interview, and Hong Kong did not announce the use of XRP in Ensemble. The connection is with the infrastructure.

📌 Fubon Bank: Worked with Ripple on the HKMA’s e-HKD pilot (2023), involving tokenized real estate and digital loans on a private ledger based on XRPL technology. It is now participating in Ensemble.

📌 Franklin Templeton: Participates in Ensemble and, together with DBS and Ripple, plans to launch the tokenized sgBENJI fund on XRPL alongside RLUSD.

📌 Standard Chartered: The first banking distributor of HKDAP, it launched institutional custody of RLUSD on XRPL (Oct 12) and, on Nov 2, tokenized deposits in Hong Kong.

💡 The thesis: With more digital currencies and tokenized assets, someone needs to provide liquidity between them. XRPL has auto-bridging and a Permissioned DEX (active since Feb 2026). Hypothetical example: tokenized HKD → XRP → RLUSD, if it’s the best route.

🏦 Context: HSBC and Anchorpoint received the first stablecoin licenses in April 2026. Ripple also made progress with BNY (custody of XRP and $RLUSD ) and Meritz Securities in Korea.

👀 Long-term demand would come from market makers holding $XRP in inventory, in addition to reserves and fees.
